Services Provided
Individual Psychotherapy
Often symptoms of distress or unwanted behaviors are signals of unmet needs. I work to help you stay curious and non-judgmental so that we can discover what that need is. From there we will collaborate on how you would like to address that need and what forms of treatment I can offer for help. Whatever form of treatment we decide on, my goal will be to help you develop a vocabulary for your internal world and put new words to your experience. Developing that understanding emotionally and cognitively is often a powerful vehicle for change and growth.
Couples Therapy
When a relationship is going well, it can strengthen you, allowing you to be more creative and take greater risks in the service of more fulfillment. When a relationship is struggling, it can restrict you and keep you from reaching your fullest potential. Whether you are dating, married or contemplating divorce, I work with couples to understand their conflicts and patterns of interaction. With this understanding, I strive to help couples communicate in a deeper, clearer way to provide greater opportunity for connection and warmth.
Parental Guidance
Parenting is one of the hardest, and potentially most fulfilling, undertakings in life. Taking time to think about how you want to parent, how you currently parent and your own upbringing can be tremendously healing and beneficial for both you and your child. I have trained in schools, outpatient facilities and hospitals where I have worked with children of all ages. I have gained knowledge of child/adolescent development, current parenting philosophies and research, and the complexities of our current times. I can help you hone your parenting skills and understand your children from a developmental perspective.
Fees
Therapy is an emotional and financial investment.
I am not in network with insurance companies but can provide a superbill that may be used to seek reimbursement from your carrier.
I suggest that you call your health insurance provider and inquire about your out-of-network coverage for psychotherapy.
Great inequity exists between those who can afford private therapy and those who cannot. I reserve a specific number of reduced-fee slots for this reason.
Good Faith Estimate
As of January 1, 2022, psychologists and other healthcare providers are required by law (Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act) to give patients who do not have health insurance or are not using their insurance a “good faith estimate” of costs for medical services. You may request a Good Faith Estimate from your provider at any time. You can read more about your right to a Good Faith Estimate below
